Supported Encryption Ciphers
When remotely accessing systems on your network, especially if you are working outside a firewall, security is paramount. VanDyke Software's terminal emulation client, SecureCRT®, supports encrypted connections using a number of standards-based protocols to maximize compatibility.
Supported Encryption Ciphers
SecureCRT allows you to select from a number of encryption ciphers for each supported secure protocol. Users may establish encrypted sessions using:
SSH1 | SSH2 |
Blowfish 3DES RC4 DES |
ChaCha20-Poly 1305 AES-256-GCM AES-128-GCM AES-256-CTR AES-192-CTR AES-128-CTR AES-256 AES-192 AES-128 Twofish 3DES |
You may specify the cipher to be used for each encrypted session; your settings may be saved in the Session Manager database.
FIPS-Compliant Encrypted Sessions
SecureCRT helps you maintain compliance with FIPS 140-2. The "FIPS Mode"* option can be turned on to limit encryption options to FIPS-approved algorithms.
