SecureCRT can provide terminal emulation for legacy applications that must be accessed using a non-secure protocol like Telnet. However, SecureCRT also supports a number of secure protocols to provide data security, including:

These secure protocols provide data security through strong encryption and ensure data integrity through the application of message authentication codes (MACs). SecureCRT for Windows also provides FIPS support. In "FIPS mode," only FIPS-approved algorithms (provided by FIPS 140-2-validated cryptography libraries) are allowed.
