New VanDyke Software Release Supports Smarter File Transfers

Albuquerque, N.M. (February 19, 2002) — VanDyke Software™, a leading provider of security and access software, announced today the official release of its SecureFX® 2.0 file transfer client. A new command-line tool for scripting batch jobs allows network professionals to perform secure unattended file transfer operations. The addition of X.509 digital certificate support allows smart cards and other hardware-based tools to secure user public keys and access to physical computing resources.

SecureFX can secure file transfers using the SFTP component of the SSH2™ open protocol or by tunneling conventional FTP over an encrypted SSH2 connection. The new release also adds a "relentless transfer" option that automatically reconnects and resumes file transfers if a connection is broken.

SecureFX 2.0 is priced at US$59.95 for a single license, US$500 for 10 licenses, and US$3500 for 100 licenses. SecureFX is also available in a bundled version with SecureCRT®, a secure remote access and tunneling client, for US$129.00. The software supports Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, and Windows 95. Fully functional 30-day evaluation software may be downloaded worldwide from www.vandyke.com.
