File Transfer Application Completes December Cycle of Software Releases
Albuquerque, N.M. (December 28, 2000) — Van Dyke Technologies, Inc., a provider of quality Internet software, announced today the official release of SecureFX® 1.9 for Windows®. Support for the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) of Secure Shell(TM) is the cornerstone of the third Van Dyke product release for the fourth quarter of 2000.
SFTP support in SecureFX 1.9 means that once connected to an SSH2™ server, users can transfer files securely between their PC and the server without the need for an FTP server or additional file transfer software. SFTP is a standard feature of Van Dyke VShell™ and other SSH2 servers.
"SecureFX's release with SFTP support means there is now a complete open-standard secure file transfer solution on Windows," said Jeff P. Van Dyke, president of Van Dyke Technologies, Inc. "Having 256-bit encryption for file transfer between Windows PCs and servers opens up a market that has been restricted to expensive proprietary solutions. SecureFX can connect to the Van Dyke VShell server on Windows NT or Windows 2000, or with SSH2 servers on any platform."
An expanded Quick Connect dialog allows SecureFX users to specify a bare minimum of configuration details and connect easily to SSH2 or FTP servers. Quick Connect sessions can be automatically added to the SecureFX connection database. SecureFX also supports secure connections to FTP servers through SSH2 as well as standard FTP.
SecureFX is priced at US$59.95 for a single license, US$500 for 10 licenses and US$3500 for 100 licenses. The software supports Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98, and Windows 95. Fully functional evaluation software may be downloaded worldwide from www.vandyke.com.
