VAN DYKE FORTIFIES SECURITY OF PRIVACY ADVOCATE

Electronic Frontier Foundation Will Use SecureCRT® and SecureFX® Applications

Albuquerque, N.M. (March 7, 2001) — Van Dyke Technologies, Inc., a provider of quality Internet software, announced today that it will donate secure access software to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). The Electronic Frontier Foundation, www.eff.org, is a non-profit organization working to protect civil liberties in the arena of computers and the Internet.

Van Dyke’s SecureCRT and SecureFX products will make it possible for all EFF staff using PCs with the Microsoft® Windows® operating system to use secure login, shell access, and file transfer. The SecureCRT secure access client and the SecureFX file transfer application provide strong encryption through support for the Secure Shell protocol or SSH2™.
