Albuquerque, N.M. (December 9, 1998) — Van Dyke Technologies, Inc., a provider of quality Internet software, announced today the official release of CRT 2.3. The CRT 2.3 terminal emulator adds telephone dialer support for Windows® 95/98 and NT platforms. Fully functional evaluation software is available for download at www.vandyke.com/download/index.html.
CRT 2.3 dialer support allows the user to store telephone numbers and basic modem connection settings as CRT session options. Phone dialer features are used primarily to gain access to bulletin boards and to provide direct connections to legacy terminal systems for UNIX, VMS, and other systems.

Other enhancements for CRT 2.3 include additional pre-configured color schemes and improved handling of printer settings and output. CRT’s core feature set includes telnet, rlogin, and serial support. CRT is optimized for Internet and intranet use, with support for firewalls, transparent printing, and ZModem file transfer. Customization capabilities include login scripts and custom keymaps, with many font, cursor, and color scheme options.
CRT 2.3 supports Windows NT and Windows 95/98 as well as Windows 3.1. Prices are $30 USD for a single-computer license, $250 USD for a 10-computer license, and $1800 for a 100-computer license. Unlimited user site licenses are available for $4995 USD.
