Van Dyke Technologies Revises Corporate Identity, Becomes VanDyke Software
Albuquerque, N.M. (October 8, 2001) — Van Dyke Technologies, Inc., an independent software developer located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, today announced it is changing its name to VanDyke Software. The first steps in launching the company's new image include a new corporate logo and redesigned web site.
Customer comments showed that VanDyke products had better recognition than the company itself. The expansion of the company's product family into a complete secure solution for Windows® networks underscored the importance of building a stronger corporate identity.
"Developing security software for the corporate IT market has fueled the growth of the company since 1998," said Jeff Van Dyke, President and founder of the company. "This name change helps reinforce the difference between our flexible software solutions and proprietary hardware-based encryption."
Spending on security software is set to soar from $2.5 billion (US$) in 1999 to over $6.7 billion in 2004, according to a study released by Gartner Group division Dataquest in October 2000. Capitalizing on this growth, VanDyke's product line now includes client applications for secure access, system administration and communications (SecureCRT®), file transfer (SecureFX®), and the first commercial server for Microsoft Windows NT® and Windows 2000 based on the open-standard SSH2™ protocol (VShell™).
The new web site (www.vandyke.com), integrating the new graphic identity, offers greatly expanded content including a section devoted entirely to solutions for customers. Two white papers are available in the Solutions section—an overview of the Secure Shell protocol used in the company's secure products and a review of secure file transfer solutions focusing on healthcare, business-to-business, and financial services.
