VanDyke Software Expands Top Management Team

Frances Brass Appointed Chief Operating Officer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., March 27, 2003 — VanDyke Software™, a developer of customer-driven software solutions for network security, announced that Frances Brass has joined the company as chief operating officer. VanDyke Software created this new position as Jeff P. Van Dyke, President and CEO, moves out of operational oversight to providing strategic direction for product development and expanding the company's sales and marketing efforts.

In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, Brass will manage orders, technical support, customer satisfaction, accounting, legal affairs, facilities, human resources, and information services.

"Her breadth and depth of experience bring tremendous value to our leadership team. Brass brings to VanDyke experience in managing operations for engineering, accounting, professional services, and health care organizations. In 2002, Brass was Director of Human Resources at the Pueblo of Sandia in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has also held executive and management positions with Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., REDW Business and Financial Services of Albuquerque, and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine in San Diego.

Brass has an MBA and holds numerous professional certifications and licenses, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
