Jeff P. Van Dyke - Founder and CEO
The founder of VanDyke Software, Jeff was the initial developer of the company's first product, the CRT™ terminal emulator. His professional background combines work in retail store management with experience in programming, teaching computer science and UNIX system administration. Currently Jeff works closely with the development team to uphold the company's core values of developing rock-solid software with early customer feedback and providing expert customer support.
Jeff holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.
Frances Brass - Chief Operating Officer
Frances oversees day-to-day operations, sales, orders, technical support, accounting, legal affairs, human resources, and information services. With years of experience in finance, human resources, sales and customer service management, she is responsible for integrating customer-focused initiatives throughout the company's operations. Frances brings to VanDyke Software experience in managing operations for engineering, accounting, professional services, gaming, and health care organizations.
Frances holds numerous professional certifications and licenses, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She holds an M.B.A , a bachelor's in business and management, and a bachelor's in history.
Maureen Jett - Product Director
Maureen is the Product Director for SecureCRT® and SecureFX®. She joined VanDyke Software in 2000 as a software developer and later managed the development team. She has been a key player in VanDyke's adoption of the pair programming and XP (eXtreme Programming) development methodologies
Maureen's software development background includes positions at Tally Systems, WordPerfect, and EDS. Her passion as a developer has been quality user interface design. As Product Director for SecureCRT and SecureFX, she focuses on listening to customers and working with developers to add capabilities that will make it easier for users to do their jobs.
Maureen enjoys learning about other cultures and spent two years living in Germany. Her other travels include treks to India, Turkey, New Zealand, and Europe. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.
Jake Devenport - Customer Support Manager
In January, 2003, Jake became the manager of VanDyke Software's technical support group, heading up our effort to provide exceptional support to users and evaluators of VanDyke Software products. He joined VanDyke Software in 1999 as a software developer, working under the title of "Code Ranger" on our CRT, SecureCRT and VShell products. When the development team adopted eXtreme Programming as a development methodology, Jake helped put in place a series of unit testing tools.
An avid efficiency seeker, Jake is known internally at VanDyke Software as either "Johnny Hotkeys" or the SecureCRT "Scripting Guru." He is the primary author of Scripting Essentials, the SecureCRT Scripting Manual.
Prior to joining VanDyke Software, Jake earned a B.S. degree in Computer
Science from the University of New Mexico. While at UNM, he worked as a UNIX
system administrator in the Computer Science department.
