VanDyke ClientPack 6.1 provides new vsftp commands including the ability to run vsftp commands from a file using a batch option (-b), a "detail" command that displays the system information for the specified file, a "view" command that allows you to easily look at the contents of a file on a remote machine, and a "su" command that allows you to become a different user if the remote server is VShell 3.5 or later.

5th Annual Enterprise Security Survey Indicates That While Economy Sputters In 2008 Most IT Budgets Are Holding Steady And Even Increasing Slightly

Results from VanDyke Software's fifth annual "What Keeps You Up at Night?" survey of network/systems administrators indicate that most IT budgets are holding steady in spite of a sputtering economy. Findings showed that in the last two years while a solid majority (64% and 63%) of network administrators said their enterprises budgeted sufficiently to support current information security needs, only 24% in this year's survey answered they "sleep like a baby at night" compared to 33% in 2007.
