Findings showed that in the last two years while a solid majority (64% and 63%) of network administrators said their enterprises budgeted sufficiently to support current information security needs, only 24% in this year's survey answered they "sleep like a baby at night" compared to 33% in 2007.

In the second annual "Security Survey of IT Executives and Network Administrators", 41% of respondents from large enterprises with over 10,000 employees noted their organization's network had been the victim in the last two years of a successful intrusion by a hacker or other unauthorized person – down from 47% in an Amplitude Research®-executed survey commissioned by VanDyke the year before.
